Welcome to Magna Vista Media! I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you’re here.

Starting my own photography business has been a dream of mine since I was a wide-eyed sophomore in college taking grad pictures of my sorority sisters for $20 a pop. Yes, $20!! I was so green and just wanted the experience (and $20 for pictures was a blessing for college students who couldn’t afford a pricy photographer!). I went to school for creative writing and have always been a story-teller at heart, but when I tried my hand at photography my entire perspective shifted.

I fell in love with visual story-telling and the emotion that could be captured in a single image. And I especially enjoyed seeing the look on people’s faces when they saw the final product of our shoots - “That’s me? I didn’t know I could look like that!” It was the most rewarding process and that’s when I knew I wanted to pursue a career in photography.

Ten years later and I’m FINALLY taking the leap! I may be new on the scene in the world of professional photographers, but this passion existed long before the creation of Magna Vista Media. Why “Magna Vista?” It means “Great Views” in both scope and significance. It means great stories, great memories, great experiences. It’s the glow of motherhood, a flying graduation cap, a blushing bride. It’s the story of your life made into visual art.
